Ingredients

  • 3 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 TSP baking soda
  • 2 TSP cinnamon
  • 1 TSP salt
  • 1 TSP nutmeg
  • 1/2 TSP ginger
  • 1/2 TSP ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 ripe bananas

Steps

  • Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, ginger and ground cloves- set aside
  • In a mixer, cream together butter and sugar. Beat eggs in one at a time until fully incorporated
  • At low speed, add dry ingredients alternately with smashed bananas- beginning and ending with dry ingredients
  • Stir in chocolate chips then turn into two greased bread loaf pans
  • Bake at 350* for one hour, allow to cool before cutting
